The Agbaoye of Ibadan land, Orikolade Ayodele Karim has congratulated Senator Lekan Balogun on his announcement as the 42nd Olubadan to ascend the throne of the historic and ancient city of Ibadan land.
Chief Orikolade described the choice of the former senator as epoch and befitting for the traditional institution of Ibadan land as someone with wide governance and cultural experience.
He writes, ” It is with great delight that I felicitate the befitting announcement of Senator Lekan Balogun as the 42nd Olubadan to ascend our ancient city monarch position, you have done wonderfully well as a Senator of the federal republic of Nigeria and also someone who has remained in the Ibadan traditional institution lineage for 36years, I wish to extend to Your Royal Majesty my sincere congratulations and best wishes for yourself and your family, and also give my full support to the new reign for a greater Ibadan land, welfare and prosperity of the people of Ibadan”.
