Former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala has commiserated with the people of Ibadan over the demise of Oba Saliu Adetunji, Olubadan of Ibadan.

“Coming at a time, when we are still mourning the unfortunate demise of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade 111, the Soun of Ogbomosoland, who joined his ancestors about 22 days ago, the sudden departure of yet another foremost Oba in Yorubaland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Aje Ogunguniso 1 is yet another unpleasant experience we have to learn to live with.

Baba Kabiyesi is a perfect example of a man of courage and resilience who stood by what he believed in damning all consequences.

Kabiyesi’s reign was a blessing to Ibadanland and Oyo state in general and he will be sorely missed.

“It is my sincere prayers that God almighty grant Baba aljannah fridaous and console the Adetunji family, the good people of Oyo state and Nigeria at large.”
