As Christians all over the world celebrate Easter to commemorate the crucification and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the 2019 governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Oyo state, Chief Adebayo Adelabu has rejoiced with Christians on the occasion of this year’s Easter.
Chief Adelabu in his Easter Goodwill message made available by one of his Media Aides, Comrade Femi Awogboro, described Easter as a glorious moment that reminds us of Christ love for the world.
The former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria urged Christians in Oyo state and Nigeria at large to use this period to reflect on the lessons of Easter and the virtues of Christ for the betterment of the society.
“The major lessons of Easter is love, sacrifice, forgiveness, hope, selflessness among others, I therefore urged you to show love for one another as exemplified by Jesus Christ”.
Adelabu also urged the people of Oyo state to keep hope alive on whatever challenges presently facing the state, stressing that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ had given mankind the hope that no situation was beyond the divine power of God.
“Therefore, in the spirit of Easter, we must let our hope in “Oyo Project” be as alive as Jesus Christ”. Adelabu said.
