The people of Oke Sunnah area of Ago-Are in ATISBO local government have expressed their gratitude to the lawmaker representing ATISBO/Saki East state constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Riliwanu Saminu for the total repair of their community borehole.
Owing to the hardship faced by the people in getting potable water especially during dry season, Wale Canada, as the lawmaker is fondly called, had decided to refurbish the 10,000 capacity industrial borehole drilled by Federal Government long time ago.
The people of the area, who came out enmass to receive the youthful lawmaker when he paid an unscheduled visit to project area, commended him for alleviating their suffering.
OYOINSIGHT.COM understands that the borehole had been neglected for more than two years due to the theft of solar pumping machine and many other equipment by unknown elements.
One of the residents of the area, who did not want name mentioned, observed that several appeal made to the LCDA chairman with a view to repair the borehole was futile.
He added that if other public office holders can emulate the honourable, the society will be better for it.
In his response, Wale Canada thanked the people of the area, admonishing them to make judicious use of the borehole. This was just as he also urge them to live in peace with one another.
The total repair of the project cost more than a million naira.
