Ibadan Mogaji Gives Herdsmen 7-day Ultimatum To Return Ransom Collected From Family Of Murdered Resident

Ibadan family head, Mogaji Wale Oladoja on Tuesday gave seven days ultimatum to herdsmen residing in Abaodo Area, Olukitibi Village, Akinyele local government, Ibadan to return N1.6m collected from the family of Wole Agboola, a business man abducted in his farm and later killed.

The Nation reported that the family head who decried the recent increase in kidnapping and maiming of the people in the south Western states said he has been consulting traditional leaders in the area to determine fate.

Oladoja who said those arrested for kidnap of Agboola were herdsmen, noted that they have only seven days to refund the money.

“I am still wondering why those we accommodated suddenly turned to our enemies. The abducted young business man with promising future was only doing his business when they attacked him and whisk him away.

“To make it worse, they collected N1.6m from his family and later killed him. All this happened on my land. I have started consulting and I am giving them seven days to refund the money collected from the family.

“We have accommodated them enough and we cannot tolerate the anymore. I calling on all the traditional rulers in Odudua land to wake up and chase these monsters out of our land before they turn Yoruba land to battle field,” he said.
