Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, Professor Adeolu Akande, has congratulated immediate past Oyo State Head of Service(HoS), Mrs Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan as she reaches 55.
Ogunesan, who hails from Ago-Amodu, headquarters of Saki East local government area of Oyo State, was born on 7th September, 1965. She was, until last year, HoS in the state.
The All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain in a message personally signed by him, said he was proud of the achievements of Ogunesan, who hails from the same Okeogun zone of the state with him, adding that young persons should emulate her.
“Mrs. Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan may mean many things to different people. She is, indeed, someone who needs to be studied, especially by aspiring civil servants and leaders. From nothing, she rose through the ranks to become number one civil servant in the state, at her early 50s. Closely, I have watched and I can say she deserves commendations for her accomplishment. She is an admirable goal-getter.
“As she reaches 55 today, I cannot but congratulate her. At 55, she’s made her mark, she would be remembered for good, especially in the civil service and especially for the lives of many people she touched, including young people.
” While praying God to grant her long life in good health, I think our government needs to find a way of making use of retired civil servants to further enhance operations in the civil service. Most times, retiring civil servant are not tired but they just have to retire. This is, most times, occasioned by the number of years they have spent in service or age. However, there should be a way the knowledge and experience they have acquired over time will continue to be put at the service of our society.
“I congratulate you. May you celebrate more of this in good health,” the statement concluded..
