Zenith Labour Candidate, ZLP, house of representatives candidate for Ibarapa North/Central federal constituency, Dr. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has announced his movement into the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Popularly known as ‘Ibarapa Kan’, Adepoju defected at a meeting which held at Igbo-Ora, headquarters of Ibarapa Central local government yesterday.
He defected alongside all party executive committee members from ward to local government levels, as well as hundreds of supporters.
According to him, the entire party members and Excos in both local government areas. unanimously agreed to defect to the ruling PDP, after a critical analysis of the administration of Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State who, he said, has performed well in just 10 months in office.
He praised Makinde and the entire leadership of the PDP for making the lives of the Oyo state people better. “Oyo state is better off today than we were ten months ago, we are ready to join hands with the PDP to further strengthen the party and deliver more dividends of democracy to our people,” he added.
