For women traders within Oyo senatorial district, the ended the 2019 on happy note as their representative, Sen. Teslim Folarin, put smiles on their faces.
The women traders in Oyo East, Oyo West, AFIJIO, Atiba, Ona-Ara, Oluyole, Egbeda, Akinyele, Ogo-Oluwa, Surulere and Lagelu local government areas of Oyo State who
were full of praises as Folarin, who visited major markets unannounced, to extend the gesture to them.
Folarin, who is a senior chief in Ibadanland and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, is a third term member.
Speaking on why he decided to assist the women, Folarin, who hails from Ona-Ara explained that “those women see are bread winners of the family. And as you know, the economy is just taking shape. So we need to inject something into the economy to make it more assuring. This is not the only thing we have done in this respect. This is even apart from what we extended to members of our party across the 11 local government. We are going to do more in 2020,”he had said.
