Governor Seyi Makinde, has said that he will summon all stakeholders that were involved in the establishment of The Central Abattoir, Amosun Village, Ibadan to a roundtable meeting where a lasting solution to the age-long misunderstanding that has divided the Oyo State Butchers Association into two-faction would be solved.
Makinde spoke when he paid an on the spot assessment visit to the abattoir.
The governor who noted that the matter is beyond politics and friendship, promised to engage all sides and proffer lasting solution to the issues within the next one week.
This is just as he urged butchers operating at the abattoir to cooperate with the investor and developer, Engr Ahmadu Kehinde, so as not to give a bad impression to others wanting to partner with the state in economic growth.
In their remarks, Ahmadu and Olagoke Lateef, unanimously pledged to comply with the decision of the governor in moving the state forward.
Present at the visit were the Chief of Staff to the governor, Bisi Ilaka; Head of Service, Mrs. Amidat Agboola; Permanent Secretary, Ministry Of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development, Mr Victor Atilola; The Executive Adviser to the Governor on Agri-Business, Dr. Debo Akande and the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Shina Olukolu.
