Jubilation As Olu-Aso Of Iberekodo Community Gets Beaded Crown

Wild jubilation enveloped Iberekodo community of Igboora on Tuesday as Oba Adedamola Badmus, the Olu-Aso of Iberekodo land gets beaded crown.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the coronation of Badmus as a beaded crown wearing Oba was performed by the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi at the Iberekodo community palace in Igboora.

NAN recalls that the Oyo State Government had recently signed the elevation of some monarchs into beaded crown wearing Obas which Badmus was among the beneficiary.

The coronation of Oba Adedamola Badmus on Tuesday has put an end to the longtime agitation from the community.

The Alaafin, while crowning the monarch, prayed that he reigns long on the throne with the community enjoying the benefits of the elevation.

Mr Habib Ibrahim, the Chairman, Ibarapa Central Local Government, said that the monarch deserved the elevation, adding he had since ascending the throne impacted the community and council hugely.

Ibrahim said that the elevation would further spur the monarch into doing more, praying that he reigns long on the throne of his ancestors.

NAN reports that the coronation was attended by Mr Bimbo Kolade, the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Samuel Adegbola, Onidere of Idere, Oba Kingsley Onikola and hosts of others.

The coronation also attracted several illustrious sons and daughters among which were Mr Gboyega Olaoye, Alhaji Olayide Abas, Mr Ademola Eyinade, Hon Jimoh Akintunde and Rep. Gbenga Ojoawo.
