LHealth care delivery in Ibarapa land, Oyo State got a boost over the weekend as the Minister of Special Duties, Senator George Akume commissioned and handed over vital hospital equipment worth millions of Naira to Igboora General Hospital with assurances to Nigerians that the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu would improve on the accomplishments of President Muhammed Buhari in rural health care services when he takes over in 2023.
The vital equipment which include ECG machine, blood bank, blood chemistry auto analyzer, chemistry analyzer, autoclave machine, suctioning machine (4), hematocrit centrifuge (2), glucometer (4), BP apparatus (10), theater gowns (100), theater aprons and two 20 KV generators were facilitated by the immediate past Chairman of National Lottery Regulatory Commission, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle through the National Lottery Trust Fund.
The Minister said President Muhammadu Buhari purposely directed the National Lottery Trust Fund to utilize the fund in its kitty towards making life better for the people at the grassroots especially in health care services and other peculiar needs of rural dwellers across the country.
So far, according to a press release issued in Ibadan today by the Chairman, Media and Publicity for the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Oyo State, Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan, Senator Akume disclosed that the Fund had impacted positively on the lives of millions of people in the grassroots through its various statutory interventions.
The minister who spoke via Zoom during the handover ceremony advised the people of Ibarapa Central Local Government and its environs to make adequate use of the equipment and to continue giving their maximum support to the government of President Muhammadu Buhari and his party, the All Progressives Congress assuring them and all Nigerians that the Presidential Candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu would consolidate on the accomplishments of the present government with improved health care services at the grassroots.
Corroborating the minister, the immediate past Chairman of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle who disclosed that the equipment were provided by the government in order to enhance health care services in Ibarapa Land assured his kinsmen that the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress was totally committed to making life better for Nigerians.
Ibikunle explained that the Renewed Hope Manifesto of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu contains scintillating health and social programs that would not only improve the lots of people at the grassroots but capable of bridging the gaps between the rural and urban towns.
The All Progressives Chieftain who served a full time of four years on the Governing Board of the Lottery Commission commended Senator George Akume, the Executive Secretary of National Lottery Trust Fund, Dr. Bello Maigari and the Zonal Director for of the Trust Fund for South West, Hajara Buhari for the judicious utilization of the Lottery Fund and their support in securing the vital equipment for the Igboora Hospital.
While urging the management and staff members of the hospital to make judicious use of the equipment and maintain them properly, Alhaji Ibikunle expressed his commitment to always serve the people of Ibarapa land and utilize whatever opportunity opens to him in contributing to the development of Ibarapa and Oyo State as a whole.
In his speech, the Executive Secretary, National Lottery Trust Fund, Dr. Bello Maigari said all the critical equipment handed over to the Igboora General Hospital were of high quality and appealed to the management of the hospital to deploy them immediately for health needs of the town and its environs.
Alahji Olaide Abass, a former chairman of Oyo State Hospital Management Board and currently Deputy State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress said that the provision of the vital equipment would enhance health care delivery in Ibarapa land. He thanked the facilitator, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle for using his position in bettering the lots of Ibarapa land and her people.
The Olu of Igboora, Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye was full of praises for the facilitator of the equipment to Igboora General Hospital declaring that the gesture confirmed Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle as a true son of Ibarapa land and a good leader worthy of support by all the people of Ibarapa and Oyo state at large.
Oba Titiloye who was supported by all the other traditional rulers in Igboora stated that the equipment would greatly improve health care delivery in the area and make life more meaningful for his people.
All the traditional rulers and the generality of prominent Ibarapa citizens at the occasion were full of joy and excitement throughout the commissioning ceremony.
