It was a big day for the candidate of the Labour Party, LP, for Oluyole federal constituency election, Ilelabayo Bamidele, as he welcome a massive crowd of Social Democratic Party, SDP, into the party.
They were led by one of the party’s bigwigs, Abolarinwa Moshood Adisa, according to a statement made available to OYOINSIGHT.COM by Jeje Ibukun, Ilelabayo’s media aide.
While speaking, Abolarinwa acknowledged and eulogised the good works Ilelabayo, has been embarking on even before he decided to contest the 2023 election.
He further explained that everyone in Oluyole local government already knows that Ilelabayo’s candidature is non-negotiable as he (Ilelabayo) is the only serious candidate with very clear political manifesto and agenda that is people-centered.
In his welcome address, Ilelabayo said he is elated and more motivated to welcome and receive the defectors from SDP and other political parties, explaining that “your defection has shown that a better Nigeria is possible just as the people even from other political parties are beginning to see where the light is, and the right leader to represent them at the house of representatives from 2023.”
He therefore advised the people that this is the time to work and deliver him as the next representative come February 25th, 2023 so that Oluyole constituents can truly enjoy the good dividends of Democracy that they surely deserve.
